St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park
Nature
St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park occupies the northern end of Jupiter Island east of Port Salerno, protecting an Atlantic barrier island landscape at the inlet. Accessible only by boat, it is valued for swimming, fishing, picnicking, wildlife viewing, snorkeling, and scuba diving. The park includes more than 2 miles of sandy beach, a 3,000-foot boardwalk, and simple day-use amenities such as eight picnic tables. Its shoreline and nearby habitats support migratory birds including peregrine falcons, broad-winged hawks, and American kestrels, as well as mammals such as bobcats, otters, and raccoons.
