Soldiers of the War of 1861-1865 from Company B, 5th Regiment, P. V.R.C., included Capt. James Taggart and Sergt. Joseph Hogan, who were killed at New Market X Roads, Va.; James M. Bennett, who was wounded at Gain's Mills and died at Rich., Va.; Capt. Charles Wells, Corp. James C. Voris, John H. Brautigam, and Christian Starick, who were killed at Fredericksburg, Va.; and Joseph F. Bashore, who was killed in Wilderness, Va.
