Thomas Weaver was born Oct. 1, 1822, in Sussex, England, and sailed to New York in 1830 with his parents, James and Elizabeth. He came to Lisbon in 1837 and married Betty Craven on April 7, 1847; they had 10 children. The home, built in the 1860's and called “Flowery Lawn Home,” was associated with Weaver's work as a hop farmer, lime kiln and saw mill operator, postmaster, state assemblyman elected in 1865, and active participant in town government, schools, and St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. He died July 25th 1885. His son Elmer (1867-1941) took over the property, and his grandson Harcourt (1895-1963) was the final Weaver owner.
