Bagby Hot Springs is a group of natural mineral hot springs in Oregon’s Mount Hood National Forest, long used by Native Americans and named for prospector and hunter Bob Bagby, who found the site in 1880. Reached by a hike through dense forest, the springs include three major sources and several smaller outlets, with hot, mineral-rich water feeding a series of bathhouses and soaking tubs. A Forest Service guard station built in 1913 still stands and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. After a 1979 fire destroyed earlier bathhouses, volunteers and the Forest Service built new ones, and the site reopened under new management in 2024.
