In A.D. 1941, the Elmhurst Municipal Building was given to the city under the terms of the wills of Lucy M. Glos and Henry L. Glos. Henry L. Glos served as the first president of the Village of Elmhurst from 1882 to 1887 and from 1888 to 1902. Their former home became the home of the city they loved and that benefitted greatly from their enterprise.
