21
The first Latter-Day Saints meeting house in this community was built in 1885 as the first building here erected for religious purposes. Measuring 16 by 28 feet and costing $450.00, it was funded by donations. From 1885 to 1896, it served for religious worship, recreation, and public gatherings. It also honors the pioneer women of the Upper Snake River Valley, who suffered many hardships in the development of this area.
