Mobbly Bayou Preserve is a 396-acre county preserve at the north end of upper Tampa Bay in Oldsmar, Florida, protecting a mix of upland and coastal plant communities. Its upland, intertidal, and subtidal habitats have been heavily affected by dense urbanization, and about 200 acres are targeted for restoration and enhancement. Supported by regional and local partners, work focuses on restoring the tidal creek system’s hydrology and improving degraded vegetation by removing exotic species and replanting native ones. The preserve also serves recreation and environmental education through trails, lookout towers, a canoe launch, fishing dock, education center, bark park, and other public amenities.
