This lava tube contains lava and ice stalactites, called lavacicles and icicles, on its ceiling and walls, formed by dripping hot lava and melting ice. Born of fire, the cave now retains ice year-round and remains a cool place on a hot summer day. The interior is dark, the low entrance ceiling requires crawling over loose rock to enter, and the floor can be a sheet of ice covered by several inches of water, creating a slippery surface that requires careful walking.
