J.E. Roush Fish and Wildlife Area, east of Huntington, Indiana, spans 8,217 acres, including 870 acres of water in J.E. Roush Lake. Centered on a flood-control reservoir maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, it serves both recreation and wildlife habitat. The area is managed for hunting and fishing while also supporting wildlife viewing, ice fishing, trapping, boating with motors permitted, and shooting, archery, and dog training facilities. Hunting is a major use, with opportunities for deer, small game, waterfowl, and turkey, and the site also offers camping with full hook-up and primitive campsites.
