Shaw is presented through a historic bike tour that connects Asbury Dwellings, Howard Theatre, Industrial Bank of Washington, True Reformer, Lincoln Theatre, Whitelaw Hotel, Thurgood Marshall Center, Sweet Daddy Grace, Mary McLeoud Bethune, Carter G. Woodson, and Blanche K. Bruce House with a vision of past activists making way for future greatness. At the center of the mural is Howard University. To the left are local schools, including Seaton Elementary School, Bumble Bees, Shaw Junior High School, Hawks, Dunbar High School, and Tide. To the right are local community institutions, including Chain Reaction Bike Shop Youth Program, Shaw Eco Village, and Watha T. Daniel Library.
