First Street Cemetery was Waco's first public graveyard. The land was bought by the Masonic Fraternity and the town of Waco on 16 April 1852. Two additional acres were added on 24 Jan 1869 by Waco Lodge No. 70 and McLennan County Lodge No. 241 IOOF. It was restored in 1969 by the City of Waco.
