Gold Star Mothers and Veterans of Foreign Wars are honored here, with special tribute to mothers who sacrificed their sons and daughters in times of war and peace. The memorial was erected in 2016 through Kameron Haines' Eagle Scout project with Troop 72 of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania. James J. Patterson Post No. 813 V.F.W. was instituted on September 15, 1921.
