A stone wall in Mount Joy was part of Hackman's Rapho Steam Distillery and Chopping Mill, which appeared on an 1858 map by J.R. Hoffer. A 1922 aerial view of Mount Joy, taken from the east along Main Street, shows a stone building standing there with an advertisement for Castoria painted on the roof.
