Kings Gap Environmental Education Center is a Pennsylvania state park on South Mountain in Cumberland County that combines environmental education, historic preservation, and low-impact recreation. Covering 2,531 acres, it is one of four such centers run by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Its centerpiece is a 32-room mansion built around 1908 by James McCormick Cameron as a summer home. After later ownership by the C. H. Masland and Son Carpet Company, the Commonwealth acquired the property in 1973 through The Nature Conservancy, and the center opened in 1977. The site is also valued for diverse wildlife, plant communities, trails, orienteering, picnicking, and hunting.
