Meade State Park in southwestern Kansas lies southwest of the city of Meade and centers on an 80-acre lake within a 440-acre camping and wildlife area. Known for year-round fishing, the lake supports bluegill, channel catfish, flathead catfish, trout, saugeye, crappie, and largemouth bass. Motorized boating is permitted only for fishing and only at no-wake speed, helping preserve the lake’s quiet character. The park also includes campsites, wildlife habitat, and hiking trails that open the surrounding landscape to visitors.
