The Jersey City Civil War Memorial honors the soldiers of Jersey City who fought in the War of the Rebellion and was erected by the executor of the estate of the late Edward J. Donnelly, Sergeant, Company C, 5th New Jersey Volunteers, together with a committee appointed by the city commissioners.
