Cuppett's Covered Bridge in Napier Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, crosses Dunnings Creek and was built by brothers William and Philip Cuppett on September 14, 1882. The bridge remained in the Cuppett family's private ownership from its construction onward. Built in five months at a cost of $780, it combined John Wayde's masonry with Jeremiah Thompson's carpentry. At 70 feet long, it stands out for unusually low arches and side walls that highlight its patented Burr Arch Truss system, a design widely associated with Pennsylvania covered bridges. Its significance was recognized in 1980 with listing on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
