Overton County veterans who gave their lives in defense of the United States are honored across World War One, World War Two, Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq, with the dead identified by name and, in many cases, by branch and rank from the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and Merchant Marine; among those noted in Vietnam is James T. Davis, identified as the first American killed.
