Liberty Sculpture Park Foundation is a California nonprofit organization established in October 2018. In the desert town of Yermo, California, it established a large public park as a base for the promotion of democracy, freedom, and human rights by Chinese overseas, and as a memorial ground for communist victims. The park’s “64” sculpture towers into the sky and can be seen by people traveling on Route 15. Along with creating large commemorative sculptures, the foundation will establish a memorial hall for communist victims to store text, pictures, and objects from around the world. All funds for Liberty Sculpture Park come from small donations. Artist Chen Weiming believes that volunteers have erected five large-scale sculptures with meager funds raised by the foundation, with only 0.15% of the funds used for administrative expenses. The foundation expects support from all walks of life and aims to establish Liberty Sculpture Park as soon as possible.
