Stony Kill Falls is an 87-foot waterfall in Wawarsing, New York, on the northwestern edge of the Minnewaska Preserve and among the preserve's highest falls. The surrounding area also provides access to the Delaware Aqueduct, a major water source for New York City. Acquired in 2001 from the Napanoch Sand and Gravel Company by the State of New York, the Open Space Institute, and the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference, this tract long served as a little-known preserve entrance used mainly by curious visitors and experienced mountaineers. The route includes rugged terrain, aqueduct infrastructure, broad valley views, and access limited solely to the falls.
