Blow-Me-Down Covered Bridge is a historic wooden road bridge in rural Cornish, New Hampshire, carrying Lang Road over Blow-me-down Brook near the Plainfield border. Built in 1877 by James Frederick Tasker for $528, it is one of the state’s few surviving 19th-century covered bridges and still serves single-lane vehicular traffic. The bridge is an 85-foot single-span multiple kingpost truss, set on leveled natural granite ledges with dry-laid stone, and finished with a metal roof and vertical board siding. Restorations in 1980 and 2002 helped preserve a rare, workmanlike example of New Hampshire’s 19th-century bridge-building tradition.
