Pinecrest Gardens was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2011 by the United States Department of the Interior during the administration of President Barack Obama and Secretary Ken Salazar, with the Pinecrest Village Council including Mayor Cindy Lerner, Vice Mayor Bob Ross, Joseph M. Corradino, Jeff Cutler, Nancy L. Harter, Yocelyn Galiano Gomez as Village Manager, Guido H. Inguanzo, Jr., CMC, as Village Clerk, and Cynthia A. Everett as Village Attorney.
