Cadets Jefferson Bryant Meharg and Lawrence Christopher Olsen lost their lives in the burning of college barracks on March 17, 1924. Erected by the Cadet Corps of 1923-1924, this remembrance honors their deaths and bears the words, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
