Built in 1904, the Goodwillie-Allen-Rademacher House is one of the oldest Craftsman Bungalow style homes in Oregon and the last remaining house from that era on the east side of Mirror Pond. It was officially listed in the National Register of Historic Places on May 23, 2007. Aurthur Lawson Goodwillie relocated to Bend in 1904, served as secretary and partner in A.M. Drake's Pilot Butte Development Company, was named chief petitioner for the incorporation of the City of Bend in the late fall of 1904, and at age 27 became Bend's first mayor. Herbert Engle Allen was assistant general manager of Brooks-Scanlon Lumber Company and was associated with several firms that spurred the area's growth and development, while also serving city government and the school district. Dr. Clyde Rademacher, M.D., a Minnesota physician, moved his practice to Bend in 1933, lived in the house until the 1980's, and helped establish the Bend Memorial Clinic with several other community doctors.
