Southington Recreation Park is a 54-acre civic project in Southington. The site was purchased in 1929 after members of the Southington Exchange Club proposed it, and it was financed by voluntary contributions from the citizens of Southington. Its swimming pool, athletic field, and grove were ready for public use in 1930.
