Mohican State Park is a 1,110-acre public recreation area in north-central Ohio along the Clear Fork of the Mohican River, surrounded by the larger Mohican-Memorial State Forest. Its narrow gorge, river setting, and rugged terrain have made it a popular destination for scenic drives and outdoor recreation. Established in 1949 as Clear Fork State Park, it was renamed in 1966 to avoid confusion with Clear Fork Reservoir in Mansfield. Open year-round, it offers hiking, camping, boating, fishing, picnicking, and extensive mountain biking trails, while also serving as a long-standing center for outdoor education through seasonal naturalist programs and grist mill tours.
