Notable attractions in and around Mohican include the Clear Fork Gorge Scenic Overlook, where two stone decks built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps provide dramatic views of the Clear Fork of the Mohican River in an area designated as a Registered National Natural Landmark; the 80-foot Mohican Fire Tower, built in 1934 in the state forest to spot fires up to ten miles away; Pleasant Hill Dam, a 113-foot-tall earth-filled dam dedicated in 1938 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to protect the area from flooding and create the 850-acre Pleasant Hill Lake; the Swinging Bridge across the Clear Fork of the Mohican River connecting the Gorge Overlook and Hemlock Gorge trails; Big Lyons Falls, an 80-foot waterfall especially notable in spring or after heavy rain; the Wolf Creek Grist Mill, originally built in 1831 north of Loudonville, relocated to Mohican State Park in 1971, and powered by water to grind corn, oats, and wheat into flour; the Mohican-Memorial Shrine, built in 1947 in the state forest as Ohio's official monument to nearly 20,000 Ohioans who died in military conflicts since World War II; the Covered Bridge across the Clear Fork of the Mohican River, built in 1968 for pedestrians and vehicles and offering views downstream from Pleasant Hill Dam; and Vista Point, a scenic overlook near the Group Camp.
