Forks of the Sky State Park is a 1,300-acre Washington park on the Skykomish River near Index along U.S. Highway 2, administered separately from but by Wallace Falls State Park. Its best-known feature is the Index Town Wall, a 1,200-foot rock face long used by climbers and BASE jumpers, with 500 documented climbing routes by 2003. The state acquired the wall in 2010, adding a major recreation area to the park. At its base stands a blocked tunnel from a test of a tunnel boring machine intended for work under the English Channel. The park also provides access to the Wild Sky Wilderness and the surrounding mountain backcountry.
