Villard Glacier is a glacier in Oregon’s Cascade Range on the northeast slopes of North Sister, an extinct shield volcano. It spans high elevations between about 9,000 and 8,000 feet above sea level and forms part of the central Cascades’ volcanic landscape. Set on the upper flanks of one of the region’s tallest peaks, it lies within a rugged alpine environment shaped by volcanism as well as the long accumulation of snow and ice.
