Smith, Corp. Benjamin Crew, Corp. Charles W. Deitrick, Pvt. Adam H. Hendrick, Pvt. Alex Laughtener, Pvt. Robert W. Roath, and Pvt. Thomas Spencer; those who died of disease: Privates Adam Bower, Preston Jackson, Wilson Hamlin, William Carter, Francis L. Phelps, Samuel Rossell, and George Johnson, and Teamster Benj. F. Spees; those who died as prisoners of war: Pvt. George Carver and Pvt. Luther T. Swartz; those who died as paroled prisoners of war: Pvt. Alva J. Hamlin and Pvt. Lewis K. White; Corp. John D. Gray, who died of wounds; and Pvt. George W. Ross, who was killed in action.
