Needwood Cemetery was established in 1894, following Needwood Church and School in 1890, and the Needwood Cemetery Association was founded in 1992 by Bailey Stinson and Irma Morgan. The cemetery text also includes a religious reflection on God and a greater place, references The Alamo from Feb. 22, 1836 to Mar. 6, 1836 and Rockingchair Ranche from 1883 to 1896, and expresses a wish to create history in a positive way. It thanks Jimmy Ammons for creating the flag pole, picnic table, and historical gate and credits him with the granite sign in 2004.
