Grand Wash Cliffs Wilderness is a protected area in northwestern Arizona within Grand Canyon–Parashant National Monument, established in 1984 under the Arizona Wilderness Act and managed by the Bureau of Land Management. It spans a twelve-mile section of the Grand Wash Cliffs, a rugged line of escarpments, canyons, and sandstone buttes marking the transition between the Colorado Plateau and the Basin and Range Province. Elevations rise from about 2,650 feet to 6,700 feet, producing sharp changes in terrain and habitat. Mojave Desert shrubs grow below the cliffs, while higher elevations support pinyon-juniper woodland, with wildlife including gila monsters, desert tortoises, and desert bighorn sheep.
