Lava Falls Trail is a hiking route on the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona that descends from the rim to the Colorado River. Beginning just west of the extinct volcano Vulcan's Throne, it passes through the Grand Canyon's northwestern volcanic country near the Uinkaret volcanic field. The trail is significant for the dramatic contrast it presents between canyon walls and volcanic terrain, and for directly connecting the high, dry rim country with the inner canyon at the river.
