The Bayou Boeuf Veterans Memorial honors the men and women who served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America during times of war and peace and responded with dignity, honor, and valor when called upon. It credits the freedom enjoyed today to their sacrifice and records local service members from the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and Iraq Afghan, including those identified as killed in action, wounded in action, prisoners of war, and members of branches such as the USA, USN, USMC, USAF, USCG, and NG.
