Bird Woman Falls is a 560-foot waterfall in Montana’s Glacier National Park, just west of the Continental Divide. One of the park’s notable high falls, it is visible from about two miles away along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, which crosses the park from east to west. The falls are fed by snowfields and a remnant glacier on the north and west slopes of Mount Oberlin. Their flow peaks in late spring and early summer with snowmelt, then can shrink drastically by autumn, sometimes nearly stopping, making their appearance closely tied to mountain climate and lingering ice.
