Logan Pass Visitor Center, at the summit of Logan Pass in Glacier National Park, was built as a major Mission 66 project to modernize visitor services in one of the park’s highest and most seasonally limited roadside locations. Designed through the National Park Service and completed after short summer construction seasons from 1963 to 1966, it combined orientation space, parking, utilities, and amenities at the top of the pass. Its broad sloping roof, native stone, and glulam timber adapted Mission 66 design to an exposed alpine setting. Despite later alterations, it remained architecturally significant and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
