Lake Francis State Park is a small but varied outdoor recreation area on Lake Francis in Pittsburg, near the upper Connecticut River in far northern New Hampshire. Used year-round for boating, fishing, canoeing, camping, ATV riding, and winter sports, it includes facilities such as a boat launch, visitor center, and playground. The park began in 1976 when 17 acres on Lake Francis were transferred from the New Hampshire Water Resources Board to the Department of Resources and Economic Development. Its history remains closely tied to the reservoir, which anchors most activity, and it also lay in the path of totality during the 2024 solar eclipse.
