A historic view of Orinda’s developing history was dedicated on January 9, 1978, in commemoration of the country’s bicentennial. It was made possible by Orinda artist and illustrator Lonie Bee, the Orinda Historical Society, and the BART District, with added appreciation to the local artists who accomplished the 1995 restoration. The City of Orinda designated it on October 7, 1997, by Ordinance Number 97-08.
