Tenney Mountain Ski Resort in Plymouth, New Hampshire, developed from trails first cut in 1959 into a regional ski area with 45 trails, 110 acres, and a succession of lifts that expanded its reach. A double chair added in 1965 made it the largest ski area in its region at the time, and later upgrades continued that growth, though some expansion plans were never finished. The mountain went through repeated ownership changes, closures, and a temporary renaming as Lookout, while costly snowmaking plans and financial problems caused further setbacks. After major repairs and renewed investment, lift-served skiing returned in 2018 and again in 2023 after another pandemic-era shutdown.
