Mount Lena is a 5,995-foot summit in Washington's Olympic Mountains within Olympic National Park, rising just north of Upper Lena Lake and surrounded by nearby peaks including East Peak, Mount Bretherton, Mount Stone, and The Brothers. Its wet marine west coast climate, shaped by Pacific weather systems, brings heavy rain and snow, especially in winter, along with dense snow and avalanche danger. Summer is usually the most stable season, with the best conditions from July through September. Known as a non-technical hiking summit, Mount Lena still requires a strenuous eight-mile approach with about 5,300 feet of elevation gain, and its runoff drains toward both the Duckabush and Hamma Hamma rivers.
