American Indians who gave their lives at this place in the Battle of Fallen Timbers included members of the Chippewa, Ottawa, Delaware, Potawatami, Miami, Shawnee, Mingo, and Wyandot tribes. It was dedicated on August 20, 1994, at the 200th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of Fallen Timbers by the Fallen Timbers Commemoration Committee and the American Indian Intertribal Association.
