Waters Schoolhouse was a one-room school building near New Concord, named for Joseph Spillman Waters (1822-1898), its first teacher. The school operated from the mid-1800s to 1936. After it was moved to this location, it was preserved as a representative of the type of school building that was once common. Renovation began in 1985 and was completed in 2002.
