Built in the 1860s by Fred Miller, Miller's Saloon was the finest bar, pool hall, card room, and dance hall in the area. It was sold to R. V. Shaw in 1903, and he operated a hotel there for years; it was later known as John Greenhalgh Hall. The Napier family sold it to the Knights Ferry History and Museum Associates in 1985.
