Robesonia Furnace Historic District in Robesonia, Pennsylvania preserves a historic iron plantation shaped by more than a century of ironmaking and village life. Established in 1794 by George Ege, the furnace later passed to Bethlehem Steel and was demolished in 1927, but industrial remains and the surrounding community still survive. The district includes thirty-five contributing buildings and two contributing sites, with worker housing from the early 19th to early 20th centuries showing the settlement’s growth and changing domestic architecture. Notable surviving buildings include the Ege Mansion, the George Taylor Mansion, a boarding house, miller’s house, furnace office, creamery, shed, and fire station.
