The Multicultural Center of the South is an arts center and museum in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana, and one of the city’s two featured destinations on the Louisiana African American Heritage Trail, alongside the Southern University Museum of Art. Its inclusion on that statewide trail reflects its importance in presenting African American history and culture in Shreveport. As a cultural site in the city, it is connected to the broader story of Louisiana’s Black heritage.
