Nature
Irving Glacier is a glacier in Oregon’s Cascade Range on the south slopes of Middle Sister at about 7,500 feet. It occupies part of the high volcanic terrain of Middle Sister, an extinct stratovolcano and one of the prominent peaks in the Three Sisters area. The glacier is significant as part of this mountainous volcanic landscape, linking the region’s glacial features with the geologic history of one of central Oregon’s notable peaks.
