North Dome
Nature
North Dome is a mountain in Greene County, New York, in the Catskill Mountains, between West Kill Mountain and Mount Sherrill within the Westkill Mountain Wilderness Area of Catskill State Park. It stands in the Hudson River watershed, though its slopes drain along different routes: the north side flows through Hagadone Brook and Bennett Brook to the West Kill, then by Schoharie Creek and the Mohawk River to the Hudson, while the south side drains into Esopus Creek and then the Hudson. North Dome has no hiking trail to its summit, so climbs are made by bushwhacking, often from Spruceton Road.
