The Whistlers is a 2,470-metre mountain in Jasper National Park’s Trident Range, about 7 kilometres southwest of Jasper. Closely linked with the Jasper SkyTram, it offers an accessible high-elevation lookout at 2,277 metres, followed by a short hike to the summit. In clear weather, the top provides broad views of surrounding ranges and distant peaks including Mount Robson, Pyramid Mountain, and Mount Hardisty. Édouard-Gaston Deville of the Geological Survey of Canada named it in 1916 for the hoary marmots whose whistles were heard there, and the official name was adopted in 1951. It remains one of Jasper’s best-known lookout mountains.
