Muhigan Mountain is a prominent peak in Alberta's Jasper National Park, in the Trident Range of the Canadian Rockies west of Jasper. Rising steeply above nearby valleys, it drains into tributaries of the Miette River and shows strong local relief, with the summit standing far above the river over a short distance. The mountain is composed of sedimentary rock laid down from the Precambrian to the Jurassic and later thrust eastward during the Laramide orogeny. Named in 1916 by surveyor Morrison P. Bridgland from an Indigenous word meaning wolf, it received official recognition in 1951 and stands in a harsh subarctic alpine climate.
