Founded in 1986 as the Crest Forest Historical Society, the Rim of the World Historical Society now operates the Mountain History Museum in this renovated San Bernardino County Firehouse. In its 25th anniversary year, the society continues its mission to promote, collect, and preserve a broad knowledge of mountain history essential to a basic quality of life, and the museum fosters the education and appreciation of history in mountain communities.
